Chair of the Trustees - Tracy Ennis

Tracy Ennis is an experienced Nurse who joined Raphael on her first Pilgrimage in 1983 having missed only 4 years attendance since. She feels that she gains more than she gives to the Pilgrimage and would recommend going to anyone interested in a working Pilgrimage.
Tracy started travelling to Lourdes with an overland group, became a member of the then Management Committee, spent time as Deputy then Chief Nurse and is now Chair of Trustees.

The Pilgrimage has evolved over time, moving our Pilgrims from the Accueil Notre Dame, she enjoys staying in the same hotel as our Pilgrims who need assistance. It's sometimes a very tiring but thoroughly fulfilling experience.

Trustee - Iain

Iain McLay trained as a pharmacist and spent most of his career working in Drug Research before spending time teaching 6th Form Chemistry in London.

He went on his first pilgrimage to Lourdes with Raphael in 2023 and found it a life enhancing experience and a real privilege to be able to help other pilgrims with reduced mobility. He became a trustee for Raphael in 2024 following his second pilgrimage.
Trustee - Wenda

Wenda has been coming to Lourdes with her daughter Julie since 2011. They both find coming to Lourdes immensely fulfilling. Both the place and the people make it feel a very special place to be.

Wenda is retired and a full time carer to daughter Julie who has secondary progressive M.S. She previously worked as a special needs assistant in both primary and senior schools.

A practising catholic, Wenda plays her flute in church every Sunday. She also belongs to the church folk group and church choir and loves being part of the music scene in her church. She brings her flute to Lourdes each year and really enjoys playing it there too.

"Lourdes means so much more to me than I could ever explain in words it makes me feel I can conquer anything that comes my way and each time I come I go home refreshed and with recharged batteries to manage any challenges that come my way."
